Hi Dr. Doreen,
I just read your blog. Its weird tat most of the time, I never feel happy. My life can be consider good. I dont hv any serious thing to be worry about. But i often woke up with feelings unhappy.
How i search that happiness?

Thank you for sharing your feelings through this forum. You said your life can be considered good but you find it a bit unusual that you always feel unhappy. We all experience feelings of unhappiness and the physiological effects of depression may affect our minds, body, emotions, and thinking processes. There are times when we would feel unhappiness as life is not perfect for anyone. But if your feeling of sadness is long lasting and intense there may be a more serious problem. It will help to let me know more details about yourself -- your age, your gender, are you single, or perhaps married with children? Any vital information about yourself that you are willing to share with me may be useful for me to be able to properly analyze your condition and offer you some help in the best way possible.

Hi Dr. Doreen,
i am 27. i am married for 6 months, no children and not yet pregnant also.
i also got confused as it seems that my life is ok. My husband is a very kindhearted person, he always makes me laugh and even we are not blessed with child yet, but i can say tat we hv a good marriage.
i am currently still working, its a good job even though its not my dream job.
i am the type of person who is thinking too much, worry too much... even also not sure wat to worry about.

to me, happiness also the most important thing besides my family, thats why when i read ur blog, i was happy to read the happiness article.

i thank u very much for your prompt reply. hopefully i could find my happiness soon :)

It's completely normal to worry when things get hectic and complicated. Judging from your email, you worry for no obvious reason. You mentioned that your life is good overall. You are a young woman with a good husband and a nice job. But it seems that you spend an excessive amount of time being worried, to a point that it is running your thoughts and if you do not take action, eventually, it will run your life. I suggest that you pay close attention to your thoughts and feelings. You may be exhibiting symptoms of an anxiety problem or disorder.

Anxiety is a natural human reaction that involves mind and body. It is in fact an important basic survival function: Anxiety is like an alarm system that is activated whenever a person perceives danger or threat. It is called the flight-fight response and is supposed to be instant and temporary. However, in certain cases, the mind reasons that a threat might last longer, therefore, feelings of anxiety may linger, keeping the person anxious and upset. There will be physical manifestation such as sleeplessness, rapid, shallow breathing, a pounding heart, or tense muscles.

The normal feelings of anxiety make a person alert, focused, and ready to head off potential problems and in this sense may even help in problem solving situations. But if it grows out of proportion to the problem, you will become overwhelmed, and unable to do what you need to do.
It always helps to get regular exercise, good nutrition, and enough sleep to re-charge your spirit. What I would ask you to do immediately is to calm your thoughts and let positive energy flow in through a simple breathing exercise for about 15-20 minutes, focusing internally on your breathing without engaging in any other thoughts. Breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth. As you exhale, try to let go of all your anxiety, tension & stress. Drink plenty of water. Take a good multivitamin and a supplement of phosphatidylcholine. You may find out more about this product by clicking on this link: http://www.avanceforlife.com/product_phoschol565.html.

If the problem gets too intense, you may need the help of a professional therapist. However, I believe you have the wisdom and power within you to run your life better. Letting go of worry, which you said you do not even understand, allows space for more happiness and the full enjoyment of life's many pleasures. I also suggest that you re-read my post on happiness. You will find that I also experience unhappiness at times, but I try to manage my thoughts and take care of both mind and body so that I will remain happy and at peace even in this world of uncertainty in which we live in. As I have said, it is your life, the choice is yours -- live it well and live it happy.

Hi Dr. Doreen,

My mum is suffered liver Cirrhosis and left about 20% functioning, can Phoscal 565 help her?

Thanks...

Dr Doreen Tan said...

Hi,

My apologies, I should have replied you sooner but the blog has been down for some time due to some technical issues. Yes, your mother definitely can take Phoschol 565, dosage should be: 2 capsules each morning, afternoon and night time before of after meals.

Phoschol 565 is a 100 percent pure source of phosphatidylcholine (PPC). Pharmacological investigations, a broad range of clinical trials, and other available data on PPC and its different modes of action, demonstrate its benefits to liver health and repair. I wish and pray for your mother's restored health !

Hi Dr Doreen,

I have freckles and some leftover pimple scars. What product is suitable for me? I'm 27 and I have sensitive skin.

Thanks and have a nice day! :)

Dr Doreen Tan said...

Stay away from the sun, always go out with sunscreen. Pimple scars can only be lightened, it cannot be rid totally. You may use products with slight exfoliating effects, collagen and Vitamin C skin care may help to puff up the scar area and perform some repair work.

Hi Dr Doreen,

My son is 4yrs old plus in K1. He had been coughing for many months, but we did bring him to consult Doctor and Chinese Doctor but is still cough, but better a bit only.
He cough only either earlier in the morning or at night only.

Now i am giving him BWL's V=Pro and sometime on 565.
Can you advise how to solve his problem, as he is takng care by nanny.

Hope to hear from you and solve his problem.

Regards
Alice

Hi, his cough could be triggered by air temperature as it only happen during morning and night. Let him sip some warm water whenever he cough. Noni cap and 565 will work better, one each anytime of the day. Cut down on sugar and milk. Temporary do not take fruits until cough stop.

Warmest regards
Doreen

Hi Dearest Dr. Dorren... I will like to ask you about a small issue that so far annoys me; my legs pores are tiny and cause some of my hair reminds inside the skin(Somehow looks like they are big). This started to happened since the first time I shaved it, after a while a change to Italian wax it slightly got better but not as it should be. By this winter I got it grow and I can still have no improvement. Is it because lack of water? What would be you recommendation?

PS: thanks you a lot for all you share, such as knowledge and specially happiness.

Hi Dr Tan
I've been using Dr Secret T Series for my freckles and slight pigmentation for 3 months. I've seen great results on my friends prior to the formula change. I'm 33 with very good skin in general apart from the freckles and am wondering how long it will take to see the changes. I avoid the sun and use a lot of sunblock but I do still get freckles which bother me. I live in New Zealand otherwise it would be good to have a consultation at your Singapore office to find out more.
